CAMI HUI
Cami’s paintings start from the sentiments of her daily life, exploring the relationship between her individual and collective emotions. Her works combine history and imagination to construction isolated, dream-like, unrealistic private space as an emotional expression and documentation. The use of colour expresses Cami’s deconstruction of her thoughts and the lighting offers the subtle suggestion of reality. Cami tries to capture the family’s reminiscence of a dream and tries to recreate it, so it can carry their emotion and mourning. Cami Hui (b. 1999) is a Bachelor of Art in Fine Arts graduate from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2022.
