Lewis Lee (born in 1998, Hong Kong) moves through cultures and landscapes, continuously mapping a path from home to elsewhere. Across journeys and unfamiliar horizons, the artist remains in pursuit of his own way of seeing. By absorbing the textures of places—local customs, daily rhythms, and lived atmosphere—he seeks to awaken a deeper sense of cultural and personal identity.

"Last year’s midsummer, standing on a hill in Golden Triangle and gazing at the endless mountain ranges before me, the villagers on the mountain were like my grandfather, they were unable to go to Taiwan after the civil war. Yet they journeyed south from Yunnan all the way to the border with Thailand and Myanmar, and finally settled here. The sunset is mixed with stories of diaspora and resilience, along with the sweet scent of tea blossoms." ——Lewis Lee

Lee is a graduate of the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts.
