ANUnaran.J (b. 1987, Mongolia) is a contemporary multidisciplinary artist based in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Since 2011, her practice has continually evolved, focusing on the interrelationship between the human body, ecological systems, and metaphysical consciousness, as well as the exploration of universal dualities—feminine and masculine, internal and external, subconscious and conscious, physical and intangible. She approaches these dualities not as oppositions, but as interdependent states that shape processes of transformation and coexistence.
Her work draws deeply from Mongolian cosmology and ancestral understandings of NAGA | NATURE–EARTH, viewing nature as a living, sentient system in which human existence is inherently embedded. Within this framework, the body functions both as a medium and a site through which ecological memory, spiritual presence, and material experience are activated.
