Kitman Yeung (b. 1999, Hong Kong; raised in Australia) received their MFA in Public Art and New Artistic Strategies from Bauhaus-Universität Weimar (2025) following a BSc in Neuroscience from the University of Melbourne. An interdisciplinary artist, Yeung explores the gap between lived reality and imposed narratives of mobility. With an interest in socio-spatial research, they examine how air, volume, and inflation are used to construct authority — from corporate mascots to psychological spectacles. “Four-Fingered Faith”, a ladder made of rubber gloves, looks at “inflation” as both a physical process and an ideological state, analysing how buoyant icons hover above grounded human experience. Yeung also co-founded the research collective groundtable, which uses collaborative, food-based interventions to examine cultural identity and shared memory. Their work has been shown in Hong Kong, Germany, Australia, and broader Europe.
