“Full Moon iv”continues the artist’s exploration of living abroad. At the edge of the Eurasian continent, Lewis Lee reflects on nostalgia — it is only when one is far from home that the roots of identity and culture come into sharp focus. Working on carpet as his chosen surface, the artist overlays his distinctive brushwork and palette with imagery of ink-wash bamboo forests, creating a unique nocturnal scene bathed in moonlight.
