‘Marine Lovers...their fishy beginnings’ was part of Zoe Marden’s solo exhibition of the same title that took place in V.O. Curations in London in 2021. The exhibition consisted of the two channel video projection and multi-media installation populated by ceramic sculptures. The exhibition was also accompanied by a newly commissioned performance that is an exploration of watery embodiment, looking specifically at the writing of Astrida Neimanis in her text, Bodies of Water. Working in collaboration with Mohammed Rowe, Imogen Alvares and Pierre, sound within the performance will be generated live, incorporating a mix of field recordings and creating an improvisational feedback loop between the performers and the live audio.
