Fiona Wong Lai Ching (b. 1964 Hong Kong) is an artist is known for her works in contemporary ceramics. Her interest in ceramics as a medium to explore the world has been the core of her own art practice as well as her teaching. The labour intensive process in ceramic making is unique and captivating. It creates unknown and answer at the same time, rewarding yet challenging.

Fiona graduated from the University of East Anglia in1991 and obtained her MFA degree at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1997. She received a Starr Foundation award from the Asian Cultural Council in 2000 and was elected member of the International Academy of Ceramics in Geneva in 2007. She was named Hong Kong Arts Development Award Artist of the Year 2017. Her works are collected by the British Museum, Hong Kong Museum of Art, The Hong Kong Heritage Museum,. Harn Museum of Art, Florida and the International Ceramic Museum, Faenza. She is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Hong Kong Art School. Since 2004, Fiona has curated various research and social art projects such including "My Soil My Land (2006)" a community project that involved 500 children using local clay. She was an invited artist of the 6th Echigo Tsumari Triennale in Japan (2015) and created site specific translucent porcelain works "Gogasha" in an abandoned house in the area on the issue of urban rural gap. In 2017 she was commissioned to curate the project "Hi! Houses Law UK Folk Museum" to create new perspectives on reading local history.
