The title of this photo comes from the type of shoes that you can see Bill wearing on the left of the group. You get a real sense of how technically primitive everything was when you see the back line of amps and speakers on the stage. Mick often sang through the P.A. system, so his vocal sound was awful, but I don’t think the fans really noticed because of the noise they made with their screams!
