Hong Kong artist Kwok Mang Ho, better known as Frog King celebrates his 70th birthday with a new exhibition at 10 Chancery Lane Gallery, Frog King turns 70, Experiments in Ink since the 1970s. The exhibition opens on 28 September, 2017 from 6:30-8:30pm with a live performance by Frog King at 7:30pm. This exhibition will explore the many ways in which Frog King has developed his ink practice over the last 50 years, having started in 1967.

10 Chancery Lane Gallery is proud to present HKFOREWORD17, an annual exhibition showcasing recent works by 10 Hong Kong art graduates. Now in its sixth year, the HKFOREWORD series, organized by 10 Chancery Lane Gallery, aims to actively promote and strengthen relations between the new generation of contemporary artists in Hong Kong and local art institutions. The works include video, painting, mixed media and sculptural installation. Artists in the show are recent Bachelor's and Master's graduates from The School of Creative Media at City University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Art School and Hong Kong Baptist University.

WANG KEPING | BIRDS - HARMONY OF THE FOREST
10 Chancery Lane Gallery is proud to present renowned sculptor Wang Keping – Birds, Harmony of the Forest, in association with Le French May 2017. This debut solo exhibition of new works features bird sculptures expressing a personal passion of the artist’s, that he has been working on for several years. In this new series Wang explains, “the form is simple, but the emotion is rich.” The flowing, carved wooden shapes alternate between abstraction and figuration, animal and human, primitive and contemporary. Born in China in 1949, Wang Keping emigrated to France in 1984. He is one of the founders of the celebrated Stars Group (Xing Xing), the first free expression contemporary art movement of the post-Mao era. He is decorated with the French “Chevalier dans l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres” and his work is collected by the Centre Georges Pompidou, The M+ Sigg Collection, the Fukuoka Museum among others.
