10 Chancery Lane Gallery is pleased to present Tsumari Story, an exhibition of selected photographs by the influential husband-and-wife artist duo RongRong & inri from December 1, 2016 - February 4, 2017. Produced over a period of two years, from 2012-2014, the Tsumari Story series began when the artists were invited to participate in the 2012 Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennial in Niigata Prefecture, Japan and depicts their experiences and emotional journey living in a unique and rural area with their three sons.

Visit 10 Chancery Lane Gallery at Booth P02 at Art021 Shanghai Contemporary Art Fair. The Gallery presents a solo exhibition of paintings and sculpture by acclaimed artist Huang Rui. In this presentation, Huang Rui’s “Language Form” painting and sculptures and “I-Ching” paintings will be exhibited together. The juxtaposition of these two series is not only visually impactful, but also serves as a deep insight into Huang Rui’s philosophical and aesthetic outlook, with China’s traditions of language, poetry and philosophy embodied in two and three-dimensional forms.

10 Chancery Lane Gallery is proud to present HKFOREWORD16, an exhibition showcasing recent works by 13 Hong Kong art graduates. Now in its fifth year, the HKFOREWORD series, organized by 10 Chancery Lane Gallery, aims to actively promote and strengthen relations between the new generation of contemporary artists in Hong Kong and local art institutions. Artists in the show are recent Bachelor’s and Master’s graduates from The School of Creative Media at City University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Art School, Hong Kong Baptist University, and Savannah College of Art and Design in Hong Kong.

10 Chancery Lane Gallery is pleased to present Remembering Days, Forgetting Time, by prominent Hong Kong artist Carol Lee Mei-kuen. Lee will include works from her recent exhibition at the Xi’an OCAT Museum curated by Karen Smith. The exhibition will also open with the launch of the book Light Years in Letters: A Postcard Project. The book is a selection of postcards created by Lee in the past five years as part of her postcard project, which began in 2008.

Chinese artist Huang Rui spent nearly two decades in Japan after founding the Stars
Group in Beijing in 1979. For the first time we will explore the works of Huang Rui during
this period alongside some of his contemporaries in Japan. Chiba Shigeo (art critic and lecturer at Chubu University) is the academic director of the exhibition.

"Shapeshifting: Contemporary Art from Southeast Asia" at 10 Chancery Lane Art Projects
in Hong Kong’s Chai Wan district will present some of the most interesting and
innovative voices from Southeast Asia. Focused on the region’s shifting range of art
practices, the exhibition focuses on four countries from Indochina: Myanmar, Thailand,
Cambodia and Vietnam. There is a certain connection that can be felt among the works
but the origins and dialogues in play all have different sources that are particular to the artists’ personal backgrounds paired with the national, religious, political or social identity of each one.

Presented in Hong Kong for the first time, "Light and Belief: Sketches of Life from the Vietnam War" by Vietnamese artist Dinh Q. Le, explores the lives and work of artists who were sent into the battle zones during the Vietnamese/American War. Comprised of a documentary film and an installation of 102 original drawings by Vietnmaese artists, the installation is a beautifully powerful and moving artwork by one of Asia's most successful artists.

The exhibition will feature exceptional artwork by seven Burmese artists including Tun Win Aung and Wahnu, Htein Lin, Maung Day, Zun Ei Phyu, Aung Myat Htay and Moe Satt.
