KOO KAM MUK
Even under the same formula and process time, Cyanotype still can produce different consequences. The solution is well-absorbed by paper fibres, using glass as a medium, the chemical can’t adhere to the smooth surface perfectly and makes the outcome more unpredictable. It’s like creating a fictional life through this smooth transparent medium. We experience the different processes to the familial and societal conditioning as we grow up, such as the expectations we receive from adults. If adults use the same modus and conditioning, the result will be different each time.
Koo Man Muk is a Bachelor of Art in Fine Arts graduate from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology co-presented by the Hong Kong Arts School.
