We are thrilled to be bringing important sculptural works to the Armory fair in New York. France-based wood master Wang Keping has honed a distinctive style using the natural elements of wood to create flowing, sensual and tactile forms. Japanese artist Susumu Koshimizu became a prominent artist in the Mono-ha movement from the 1960s, creating minimal sculptures and installation pieces from basic materials. We are proud to include 2 wooden panels created in the 1970s and 1990s. Acclaimed Chinese artist Huang Rui brings Chinese characters to life in this 3D sculpture of the double happiness to be viewed from all sides. Burmese (Myanmar) artist Htein Lin brings us one of his wheels bringing to light the circle of life in terms of Buddhist thought. Vietnamese Artist Bui Cong Khanh creates a wall panel of symbols both traditional and modern to discuss the ongoing conversations left behind by the Vietnam/American war. French artist Laurent Martin "Lo" has created light, floating and balanced mobile sculptures made from bamboo that occupy space in the most delicate way. And two younger artists from Hong Kong, Katrina Leigh Mendoza Raimann and Zoë Marden bring us organically inspired tapestry and ceramic works.
